Attendance
Birmingham City Council have a huge spotlight on attendance currently and we are under pressure to follow guidelines regarding authorising pupils going on holiday during term time. Unless the reason behind going away is exceptional we will not be able to authorise it and, should you still choose to go away, we will have to report you to the Council which could result in a fine. Please refer to the Student Attendance Policy on our website for more information.
Please remember that holidays taken need to have forms completed ahead of the dates and that most will not be authorised unless they meet the exceptional circumstances criteria. Whether an absence is authorised or not it still clearly counts as being absent on attendance records.
